Toppleball rules

There are three versions of toppleball: Team, Olympic, and Tournament. Click on a style of play or the associated image to see the full rule sets.

Team Style

Team Style toppleball can be played with very large groups: we have made it work with as many as 80 people, splitting into teams of 20 and alternating teams every couple of team switches. This style of play is excellent for beginners, because there is less pressure on any one individual.

Olympic Style

For groups as small as six people, Olympic Style toppleball combines standard defense rules with an individual, one-vs.-all offense system for a unique challenge. This is a good venue for honing skills, and can also be quite a workout.

Tournament Style

This is the most demanding version of toppleball, requiring a solid knowledge of rules and strategies, and a decent level of athleticism and skill. Tournament Style toppleball pits teams of five against each other in a 25-minute all-out battle for the highest team score.
